The sections of the painting devoted to stories around hope, one of the first words that come to mind when Yaşar Kemal is mentioned. The sections are connected to each other by bushes full of ladybugs.
The first story is called HUNTER: The Hemite Castle, wild ducks where the plain and the river are ponded, a woman leaves his husband who does not care about his kid with malaria because of his passion for hunting.
THE THIEF: the fisherman embroiders a pigeon onto someone else's boat. He wants to buy this boat, but has no money. So he steals it and goes to jail, but in the end manages to but the boat. A seagull and a cormorant in the sea.
GOAT: a poor family with four children watches with sadness as their father takes their goat to the town market to sell it.
MOSQUITO: mosquitoes coming from the rice field disturb a man and a woman working on the wheat harvest quite a bit. The woman hides in a pile of hay, and the man lies naked on the ground.
DAGGER: While the self-employed ambassador is sleeping in a mosquito net, the worker who comes to stab him sinks his dagger into the ground. Cotton fields and workers.
HALIS SERKISOF: A peasant riding sideways on his donkey exchanges a Halis Serkisof brand watch, which he does not know is broken, for a donkey. There is also the hoopoe bird.
